A Base Collar in construction typically refers to a component used in Formwork Systems, especially for columns and similar structural elements.

Installation and Use

1.During the construction process of a concrete column, the base collar is typically installed as follows:

2.Preparation: The column reinforcement is set up according to design specifications.

3.Formwork Assembly: The base collar is placed at the bottom of the formwork assembly, ensuring it is securely attached and aligned with the column formwork.

4.Concrete Pouring: Once the formwork and base collar are in place and checked for alignment, concrete is poured into the mold.

5.Curing and Dismantling: After the concrete has cured to gain sufficient strength, the formwork and base collar are carefully dismantled. The base collar can be cleaned and reused for subsequent column pours.
